Community Life
Our close knit staff are ready to welcome you with open arms. We are a team with many callings and many interests but our common ground is Jesus. Located near the White Mountains of New Hampshire, there are lots of outdoor things to do. Go hiking during the summer or snowboarding during the winter. Go on mushroom hunts or even learn how to make cheese on a local farm.
Intercession
Always pray. Prayer is an important part of our walk with the Lord. This is a time to practice hearing what’s on God’s heart. And then to pray for those nations, communities, people groups, and more in your intercession and prayer groups.
Evangelism
Practice what you preach. Jesus commanded us to preach the good news to those that need it. Engage in conversations with the local people as we share the love of the Father with them.
Part 2: The Outreach Phase
“….and make him known.”
Outreach is the two-month portion of the DTS where you and your team get to minister in an another country. Each outreach is different depending on where in the world you go. Your ministry will adapt to meet the needs of the local situations with a heavy emphasis on evangelism.
Your outreach team could be engaged in construction projects, teaching English, or serving children’s programs. but be ready for the unexpected. God may want to change the teams plan for the day or a pastor might want your team to lead a church service just before it starts.
Outreach will always keep you on your toes. You have a commission from God to go, and you will find that flexibility and a sense of humor are handy prerequisites. No matter where in the world you end up, you’ll never be the same when you’re done.
WHY AN OUTREACH?
Matthew 28:18-20
“And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.””
Jesus commissions us to make disciples of all nations. During this portion of the DTS, the world becomes your classroom. grow in your discipleship through the service
others and make disciples for the kingdom.
The things you have learned, the skills you have acquired, and the heart for people will be on full display to nations and cities that cry out for God. God’s amazing character and nature will be reflected in the the different cultures and places that you go.
